SUMMER CAMP FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Summer Camp

What is the Camper to Counselor Ratio?

8:1.  One of the best in Ottawa to ensure that each child receives the attention they deserve.

Do I have to sign up for all 4 weeks?

No.  Some of our campers attend all four weeks, while others pick from one to 4 weeks.  Our activities and outings change each week, so there is enough variety that children will not get bored.

Is there a payment installment plan?

Yes.  Depending on when you sign your child up for camp we can take equal bi-weekly payments up to the end of June.

How much of the day is spent indoor and outdoors?

About 70% of the camp week is spent outside.

How long has the camp been running?

8 years

How old are the summer camp counsellors?

Our camp counselors are generally in their early twenties, attending college or university and are students or instructors in our martial arts programs.

Are vehicles used?

No vehicles are used during the camp.  Everyone either walks as a group to their destination or we occasionally take an OC Transpo bus if the distance is to far to walk.

What should my son/daughter bring to camp each day?

A comprehensive list will be emailed to everyone prior to the start of camp but some items include:

  1. -water bottle

  2. -sun screen

  3. -hat

  4. -lunch and snacks

  5. -weather appropriate clothing and shoes
